I had the opportunity to photograph Vista Luna, a luxury container home nestled in the heart of Sonoma County’s wine country. This stay offers a seamless blend of modern design and natural beauty. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic, 360-degree views of the surrounding city and rolling hills, integrating indoor and outdoor living effortlessly.

Photography isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about storytelling. The goal was bigger than simply capturing beautiful images; it was about showcasing the amenities and details that set this vacation rental apart from competitors in the area.

I had two key objectives in mind:

Vista Luna is designed with luxury and entertainment in mind, so we focused on emphasizing the home’s most impressive features:

1. Open-Plan Living Areas

Overview shots were used to highlight the seamless flow between spaces and showcase the abundant natural light streaming through the 360-degree windows.

One of the home’s main selling points is the pool and lounge area. The focus was conveying a luxurious and serene oasis, capturing the views overlooking the city and the surrounding trees that create a private, secluded atmosphere.

5. Cocktail Garden:

The outdoor cocktail garden is a charming feature designed to attract guests who appreciate fresh, homegrown ingredients. To showcase its appeal, I captured wide shots of the lush surroundings, while the homeowner styled a setup of a refreshing summer drink made with herbs from the garden, giving guests a glimpse of how they can enjoy the space.
